Polyester Putty

Polyester Putty is a two component, rapid setting compound available in summer and winter grades, which rapidly gains strength to exceeding parent concrete within one hour. Bonded units may be returned to service within one to two hours.

The mix design of the product allows for full pack mixing or part mixes when required for smaller jobs. The mixed putty has good adhesion to most construction materials and is resistant to a wide range of chemicals including petroleum products plus road and aircraft runway de-icing salts.

Uses include rapid bonding and bedding of concrete, brickwork and masonry; rapid jointing of precast concrete pipes and units and rapid fixing of steel inserts into precast concrete units.

Berger Zinc Chromate Red Oxide Primer

Berger Red Oxide Primer is formulated for interior and exterior use on ferrous metal and is not usually suitable for galvanized or nonferrous metals like aluminium, copper or brass. Ferrous metals contain iron. To confirm if your metal is ferrous or nonferrous, test it using a magnet. Ferrous metals are magnetic, and nonferrous metals are not. Berger Red Oxide Primer is an anti-corrosion coating, designed to stop rust formation. It can be applied directly over a rusty surface and is most ideal for exterior use. Red oxide primer can be coated with Berger 404, Rustpro or Machinery Enamel once dry.

Ensure that all substrates are clean and free from grease or oil
A clean surface ensures proper adhesion of the primer
Remove all loose and flaking material by scraping with a paint scraper, wire brush or by sanding
For some metals, flame cleaning or grit blasting may be necessary
